Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)

NSNP is one of Canada’s provincial nominee programs that allows Nova Scotia to select individual applicants to pursue an immigrant visa and permanent residency in Canada. It is designed to meet the specific needs of Nova Scotia’s labour market and to stimulate economic growth in the region.

NSNP program includes a variety of streams:

Skilled Workers Stream:

This stream is for people who already have a job offer from an employer in Nova Scotia.

Candidates must have experience in a relevant position and, depending on the specialization, a certain level of education and/or training.

In addition, candidates must meet certain criteria of age, work experience, language requirements, etc.

Entrepreneur Stream:

Designed for international entrepreneurs who want to start, buy or invest in and operate a business in Nova Scotia.

Applicants must demonstrate successful business experience and have the necessary financial capital to invest in a business in the province.

International Graduate Stream:

For students who have earned a degree or diploma from a Nova Scotia institution and have a job offer from a local employer.

Applicants need to meet criteria related to education, work experience and language requirements.

Canada Immigration

For a successful application under any of the streams, applicants are generally required to demonstrate that they have sufficient finances to support their residence in Nova Scotia, as well as meet certain language requirements (English or French).

The application and selection process may vary depending on the specific needs of the province and its economic situation. Therefore, potential immigrants are advised to regularly check official sources of information about NSNP and consult with licensed immigration consultants.
