Yukon Nominee Program (YNP)

YNP is designed to attract and retain skilled foreign workers, entrepreneurs and farmers who can contribute to the economic development of the Yukon Territory in Canada.

YNP Key Features:

Purpose: To support Yukon’s economic growth by addressing labour market needs and stimulating entrepreneurship.

Program Streams: YNP has several streams, each targeting a specific group of individuals:

Skilled Worker Stream: This stream is for individuals with skills and qualifications in demand in the Yukon labor market. Applicants must have an offer of employment from a Yukon employer.

Critical Impact Worker Stream: This stream aims to attract foreign workers to areas where there are skills shortages and where local residents cannot meet labor market needs.

Business Nominee Stream: This stream is for individuals who wish to invest and operate a business in the Yukon. Applicants must demonstrate business management experience, sufficient financial resources and a business plan for the future.

Farmer Stream: This stream aims to attract farmers who want to develop and manage an agricultural business in the Yukon. Applicants must have experience in agriculture, a farm development plan and adequate financial resources.

Canada Immigration

Process: Once a candidate receives a nomination from YNP, they can apply for permanent residency in Canada through the on-line PR portal.

Requirements: While requirements may vary by stream, they generally include the need to provide evidence of experience, qualifications, financial resources and other relevant documents.

This program allows the Yukon to address its unique economic and demographic challenges, ensuring population growth and economic development.
